promote and enhance the general welfare of equipment trade retailers
foster co-operation and fair trade practices among dealers, manufacturers, and distributors in the industry
aid in the advancement of all equipment retailers
raise the standards of those engaged in retail equipment pursuits

compile and disseminate information, data, and knowledge to its members to assure the very best of service
aid and protect members singularly and collectively in any or all of their proper business relations
do all things correctly within the scope of an association of equipment retailers

Beverly J. Leavitt

President / CEO

After working with the Alberta Hereford Association and the Canadian Limousin Association in Alberta, Bev sought a change when she moved to Ontario in 1997 to take a position with CEDA (ORFEDA at the time).

Since then, Bev has been in the dealerships, on the ground, learning the business first-hand from you, the dealers. With each visit, she not only gets to know your needs but also supports you with her years of experience in:

HR management
Government relations
Crisis management
Program development and business strategy

And is certified in:

Facilitation and mediation
Conflict resolution
Health and safety
Assess Strategic Success Modeling (SSM) process to interpret Assess reports and create competency models

Suzanne Cornish

Administrative Assistant

Suzanne joined CEDA part-time in 2023. As a retired paralegal, Suzanne has experience in helping marginalized people gain access to the services and supports they need with dignity and respect. She brings that skill set to CEDA with a passion for getting to know people and their individual stories. Her legal proficiency and ability to juggle three kids and nine grandchildren make her the perfect addition to the CEDA team!
